1277 days

"1277 days" is a collection of poems, journal entries, and ramblings. The title of this project signifies a particular period in my life of emotional challenges: heartbreak, identity crisis, and coming-of-age. During this point of my life, writing was instrumental to sorting and processing my thoughts. As someone who likes to measure and keep records of my growth, I decided to take the journal entries, poems, notes, and just about anything else I could find from this period and compile them in a way that would most accurately show the rollercoaster of emotions I cycled through as I sought to heal.

Wanting to stay true to my belief in the importance and beauty of acknowledging vulnerability, I complied and created this small booklet to show the journey of lows and highs, the bad and ugly but ultimately beautiful mess that is this chapter of my human experience.

Upon opening the booklet, the very first spread features a mirrored surface on the left page. The idea behind this was to evoke introspection.
